not a daft question at all

I would say yes, but not a whole one, just a couple of segments at a time because they are quite acidic. I always take the tough outer membrane off (bit fiddly) and give them the soft bit. And check for pips Grin

thanks greensleeves, I think she is getting fed up of bananas all the time and she won't eat apple so I want to introduce other fruit

my 10 month old dd adores oranges. bounces up & down whenever she sees them. she's been eating them since she was weaned at 6 months. she doesn't actually swallow much, just sucks them a lot. and spits all the pips out. go for it!

At that age my DD loved plums.

shellybelly · 04/05/2006 16:08

mmmm plums Grin she may like them, the satsuma didn't go down well, plums aren't as tart (she pulled a really funny face when she tasted it) will give them a try

mine love melons, won't touch satsumas. One also loves strawberries and mango.

Bozza · 04/05/2006 16:19

Plums are very messy IIRC. Grin

Oh, will try satsumas as well now. Won't entertain bananas now...
