Quick lazy pudding ideas please!!

Really fancy something sweet tonight but don't have much food in the house. My normal "emergency" pudding option is microwaved banana with raisins & choc chips Blush but we have run out of bananas. :(

What can I do that is quick, lazy and requires minimum effort? In my fridge/cupboards I have:

Flour
Oats
Eggs
Sugar
Milk
Butter
Orange juice
Half a lemon
Golden syrup
Apples
A couple of plums
Chocolate chips

What can I do that won't require making lots of mess and/or spending ages over a hot stove?!

TIA!
Raisins
Glacé cherries

Oops, just noticed random placing of raisins and glacé cherries!

Thought about apple crumble but don't have many apples for a big dish, I guess I could do a smaller one but I like cream with my crumble and I haven't got any.

Assuming you have sugar, treacle tart? Jam tarts?

insanityscratching · 06/03/2013 18:44

Treacle sponge, baked apples, eves pudding?

BoreOfWhabylon · 06/03/2013 18:44

Bread and butter pudding (will use up sultanas).

Apple and sultana crumble.

Plum, apple and sultana crumble.

Or, instead of crumble topping do a basic sponge-type topping instead.

BoreOfWhabylon · 06/03/2013 18:45

Too many insteads there Blush

Blessyou · 06/03/2013 18:46

Flapjack

Yum, lots of nice ideas here.

Was hoping to avoid the hassle of making pastry/sponge etc. I know it wouldn't take long but have had a tough day at work and am in one of those can't-be-bothered moods.

Baked apples sound good. Perhaps that's the answer! :)

Microwave sponge?

Takes minutes if you use an electric whisk. (Beaters can go in dishwasher, sponge made in bowl it is cooked in.)

my cousin used to look after us during the school holidays.

she used to give us kitkat and cold tinned custard for afters. it was yummyGrin

my mum used to buy Swiss roll, make custard, slice the roll, pour over the custard then bake for above 20 minutes.

that was lush tooGrin

Jinsei · 06/03/2013 19:04

Best and easiest pud recipe I saw on tv a good few years back

Take one oven proof mixing bowl Pyrex type.
Switch on oven 175 ish degrees

Weigh into bowl 4oz raising flour
Add on top 4oz caster sugar
Add on top 4oz butter.

Place bowl in oven for 5/10 mins till butter melted, take out and beat together in bowl.

Tip over sliced apple/rhubarb/blackberry any crumble type fruit mix.

Put dish into oven for 15/20 mins till the crust of dough is all buttery soft , crunchy and golden.

Minimal washing up, minimal effort, maximum pud!

colditz · 06/03/2013 21:24

Slice apples into a Pyrex dish, and sprinkle with a tablespoon of sugar.

Microwave until soft.

Meanwhile, mix up 4 tablespoons of flour and of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of oil, and 2 tablespoons of milk, and 2 eggs.

Pour this over the squashy apples.

Microwave for around three minutes. Eat with spoon straight from bowl.

If you have Nutella or can get some - Nutella brownies:

16 tablespoons Nutella, 16 tablespoons flour, 2 eggs, mix all together, bake in a greased tin until spongy and knife/skewer comes out clean.

serve with ice cream or cream. YUM and easiest dessert you can get!
