Dried chick peas, 3 months out of date. My instincts say soak and cook.

They might not taste as great as they would have six months ago but they won't be unsafe. They're dried so nothing can live in/on them :)

Definitely fine! Add a teaspoon of bicarb of soda to the soaking water, it will help them to soften in less time. Then drain and rinse before cooking in fresh water.
