Freezing meringue?

Can I? I've made some for lemon meringue today but have loads left. Can I freeze it in bags and use another day?

Personally I'd dry them out in the oven, and then they keep for ages in a tin - great for eating with fruit or crushing into eton mess.

I agree with next phase: Make sure they're super dry and put them in an air tight container. They'll last weeks or months even.
