Mine was eating olives at 8 months, gerkhins by 1 year and all sorts of things. Is now 4 and her latest is anchovies and oysters, artichoke and asparagus. Plus she tried fresh crab at the weekend and has now added that to her list.

My nephew loves pickled onions. We all went to a caravan last year, (me my sister, 2 four year olds, a 3 year old and a baby!!).
Said nephew, then 4 was eating a jar of pickled onions and said, 'i think i'll take them to bed incase i want one in the night'. In vest and knickers with his pickled onions bless him, looked like Rab.C.NesbittGrin

controlfreaky2 · 02/05/2006 20:46

CHICagoMUM · 02/05/2006 21:30

No Shock that is what she likes not what she gets. She did save up her pocket money whilst on holiday though so she could have oysters one time. I only let her try them as she was naging me to distraction and I was sure as soon as it hit her mouth it would be straight out, how wrong I was !!!

Nightynight · 02/05/2006 22:23

dd2 loves cornichons.

Gingerbear · 02/05/2006 22:24

singyswife · 02/05/2006 22:24

Hi beleive it or not my dd1 cut her teeth on pikeld onions. Still loves them now. Not gherkins though!

chipmonkey · 03/05/2006 00:05

When I was 12 my cousin and I vowed to eat a pickled onion every New Years Eve. We have kept to it ever since ( I am 37)

onelife · 03/05/2006 00:41

Stilton cheese, vinegrette dressing but not the salad, curry and probably larger if he got the chance - he can actually handle hotter curry than his Dad.

rosycheek · 03/05/2006 10:20

DD loved anything pickled, including gerkins, and has since she was old enough to bite them. DS2 is 15 months and also showing signs of an adventurous palate as he has just discovered a liking for olives!

cod · 03/05/2006 10:57

lth no it still ncie on a pork pie

ProfYaffle · 03/05/2006 11:14

No but she does like brown sauce, chip shop curry and olives which strikes me as odd.

(Says a lot about the diet chez Prof as well)
