Cooking chick peas etc in a slow cooker?

Can I soak dried beans overnight then boil for 10 minutes then transfer to my slow cooker? It's a 3.5ltr one. Will it hold a whole pack of dry chick peas?

The plan is to then rapidly cool them when cooked under the tap and freeze in ziplock bags from Aldi.

I'm new to this whole vegetarian lark so I'm still finding my way. TIA

I tried this last weekend and it didn't work for me, I even started a thread on it! It has worked for some though so do have a go! Here is where I went wrong: I didn't put the soaked dried beans into boiling water (big mistake) and then cooked it on low for 6 hrs and they never actually cooked, the water never reached a simmer IYKWIM??? Good luck and tell us how you get on!

Right, so boiling water on high will hopefully work.

There's so much conflicting advice on the Internet.

No, it's an asda one, I've got high and low.

Go for high! Check the water doesn't run dry though!
