Which recipe should I choose? (Nigella's coke one, Nigel Slater's bacon and maple one or other)
And what accompaniments should I do?

I slow cook it in ginger ale then glaze with either ginger preserve or apricot jam mixed with mustard. Both delicious.

Oh and I do a side of dauphinoise potatoes made with loads of garlic, grated strong cheddar and creme fraiche, and a Heston Blumenthal recipe for broccoli which involves smoking hot olive oil. Yum.

Dauphinois would be delicious. Was considering cauliflower cheese. Is the ginger one strong? Dunno if the kids would like it if too spicy

Mustard mash sounds delicious. Do you use whole grain?

Ooh, def Nigella's one in coke. We also have it with dauphinoise. Usually alongside green beans. Leftovers are good served with that mustard mash or in a ham & mushroom pie. Yum!

I use whole grain in my mustard mash, by the way.
