what liquer goes with raspberries and chocolate

have a chocolate spongey desert recipe that is meant to be soaked in brandy - but I'd like to serve it with raspberries - would they go together? if not should I use a different liquer?

what's the name of that raspberry liqueur that comes in a really bling bottle...chambord i think...i guess that would be the ultimate choice, but it is expenive to buy it just for this, you could do great cocktails tho
