I'm getting the ingredients together to make a batch of muffins, raspberry and marmalaid ones. I've got about half the quantity of flour needed SR flour, but about the same amount of plain flour.
Can I combine the two so I have enough?

Yes. Just add some extra baking powder. SR flour is just plain flour with baking powder in it.

From the BBC website: To make self-raising flour add one teaspoon 110g of plain flour.

You can make baking powder from bicarbonate of soda and cream of tartare too.

Yes, I think it's a tsp of baking powder per 100g. If you don't add the baking powder you won't get as much of a rise but it'll still be edible.
