Ham hough?

Hoping someone can help me with my ignorance. I've bought some ham houghs with my meat order as they were so cheap. But I'm not sure what they are or how to cook them?

So are they like shin or hock and has anyone got a recipe as I'm not sure what to do with them. Thank very much. :)

I soak it in water overnight then make lentil soup with houghs.

There are loads of other things you could do with it too. Google 'ham hock recipes' and you'll find all manner of interesting things you could make.
