Blue garlic???

Lately when I cook garlic it seems to turn a bluish/grey colour in the pan, at first I thought this was because it had gone off, but it happened last night with cloves from a brand new bulb. Anyone have any ideas what this is or come across it? Thanks.

Garlic can turn blue when it comes into contact with acidic stuff like vinegar or lemon juice or with tiny amounts of copper in water/cooking equipment etc. It's because of the sulphur content.

it's still safe to eat, though.
