How can I jazz up kedgeree?

Or can you not?

Cooking it for dinner this evening. Have no curry powder-which I normally add. And no prawns.

Not sure it's going to work without curry powder!

I'd think curry powder was fairly essential for kedgeree, but could be wrong.

You might have to rethink this one! (Unless you have loads of other spices that you can mix together?)
