Anyone freeze bread dough?

D'you let it rise before freezing, bake from frozen????

Finding it difficult to filter the google results.

Yes.
you make it as you would if you were going to use it then and there but freeze it before the last rise. I usually freeze bread dough as part of a batch i am making.

if it has already risen then just knock it back before freezing

you then defrost it, shape it and let it rise before baking.

or that is what I do.

allegedly if you throw some ice cubes into the bottom of the hot oven as you close the door on the bread. makes it crusty.
