I am having Waitrose chicken wrapped in parma ham and stuffed with asparagus. It was reduced from £5.49 down to 99p for 2 breasts! Bargain! With celeriac chips and sauteed spinach.

Boys are having fishfingers and beans because DS1 is poorly and that is what he fancies.

Sausage pasta.

Really dont want it though. Want something nicer.

DewDr0p · 28/01/2013 16:46

Me and the children are having chilli with rice, topped with grated cheese. Maybe salad on the side.

Dh is away with work so undoubtedly having something much more glam. Envy

TheSecretCervixDNCOP · 28/01/2013 16:46

I'm making a cottage pie. Cheating a little by using a jar of sauce to put in the mince, but still fresh mince and cooked potatoes!

BunnyLebowski · 28/01/2013 16:47

Big fat ribeyes for me and DP. With skinny fries. And diane sauce. Mmmmmmm.

DD is having prawns in batter with corn on the cob and potato croquettes (random combination but what she requested in M+S!)

MamaGeekChic · 28/01/2013 16:47

Spaghetti, Meatballs and tomato sauce, rocket salad and tomato flatbread. Can't wait!

NorbertDentressangle · 28/01/2013 16:52

Leftovers from the freezer as its DS's football training night so needs to be quick and easy - butternut squash and potato curry, chick pea curry and naan bread

FreakoidOrganisoid · 28/01/2013 16:54

Jollof rice. Or a bastardised version of.

Ruprekt · 28/01/2013 16:55

Jollof rice???? Wassat?

Chicken pie (homemade pastry) with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

TomDaleysTrunks · 28/01/2013 17:01

Dh is working so he's taken a freezer dinner of beef casserole. Dd ate at crèche so she's just going to have toast. I'm going to have some sort of tomato and veg pasta once she's asleep! Maybe chuck some seafood in. Not very glam!

serendippity · 28/01/2013 17:07

Kids are having Tesco "goodie" chicken goujons with potato waffles and baked beans and dh and I are having meatballs and spaghetti with a whole mountain of cheese on top mmmm.
P.S normaly the kids do have at least part homemade food, but We're having a fridge plumbed in and a raditator moved so currently everything's covered in dust and I have enough to contend with Grin

TiggerWearsATriteSmile · 28/01/2013 17:11

Beef and Guinness stew. It smells gorgeous.
We'll have it with colcannon. Hearty warming food on a drab day.

forevergreek · 28/01/2013 17:58

Sweet and sour chicken ( homemade first time so could be a disaster still!), with rice and broccoli

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/01/2013 18:00

Quorn chilli con carne and rice. Lovely an warming as needed due to the vast amounts of water falling from the sky! Smile

OldBeanbagz · 28/01/2013 18:02

Meat Free Monday in our house so it's mixed bean chilli with spicy wedges.

CremeEggThief · 28/01/2013 18:03

Jacket potatoes with baked beans and cheese. One of my favourites :).

ScienceRocks · 28/01/2013 18:14

We are having chicken with fennel in a slightly spiced creamy sauce with brown rice. I love this nigel slater recipe and it is perfect in this horrible weather.

Ignores enormous soggy heavy quiche donated by MIL yesterday

HoneyDragon · 28/01/2013 18:26

Roast Chicken soup and Dumplings, from left overs and home made bread rolls

PictureMeInThese · 28/01/2013 18:29

Gammon, spuds and cauliflower cheese.

BeaWheesht · 28/01/2013 18:45

A chippy.

Kids had pizza.

Am not proud.

Allalonenow · 28/01/2013 18:51

Fish pie, then the last slice of chocolate fudge cake in the world.

TheArmadillo · 28/01/2013 18:55

Cajun chicken (hairy dieters recipe for the spice mix), garlic bread and salad (rocket and parmesan for me).

Have to walk past the chippy on the way home just as it is opening - is hard when I'm always starving.

insanityscratching · 28/01/2013 19:21

We've had leftover ham from the joint I cooked at the weekend, chips, egg and peas. Had a bad day and that was as much as I could be bothered to do.
