Wasn't sure where to put this but... Can anyone recommend a really good tin opener??? Mine keep breaking and I have tried about 5 different ones now.

I am blaming DH as my tin openers never broke before we moved in together Grin

DH bought me an electric one as a joke present (left handed useless with stuff) and its bloody brilliant.

I have one of these and it works really well

You have to reverse it to get the lid off the thing once opened

I have been uhming and ahing about an electric tin opener but worried about DH breaking that too!

Is he opening tins wrong or am I? I put the tin opener so that the blade cuts around the inner top of the tin, dh does it so it goes around the side of the tin (which is usually thicker metal), Or does it not matter?

I think you are doing it right !

Ah see DH does it like furballs link, but I think thats a special tin opener? I used to have one a bit like that (but it broke!)

Which means that for a normal tin opener I am right! Ha! (based on the back up of one person Wink)
