Help! those steamery things from lakeland

that go inside your own pan, well, do i just put a bit of water boiling in bottom of said pan and do i cover with the lid???

help please!

Yes to both. Don't put too much water in or you'll be boiling not steaming, and you need the lid to keep the steam in to cook the food.

Keep an eye on the water level in the pan though in case it boils dry.

No you're not - and the boiling dry thing has been learned from bitter experience. I really was a dope for thinking that half an inch of water would boil for over an hour while I watched telly.
