help-question about use by dates.

I have some chicken that needs using by today. I was going to do it in the slow cooker and make a curry. The slow cooker is already in use with my chicken for roast dinner....so should I....

  1. Cook it this evening and fridge or freezer the curry for another day
  2. Freeze the meat to use another day (not sure that's a good thing to do if it's use by today
  3. Something else?

Thanks

I'd cook it tomorrow as long as it smelt ok, am very laid back about use by dates but with chicken wouldn't leave it too long. Or if I was a bit worried I'd just poach it tonight, fridge it and eat tomorrow,

Thanks for the quick reply, it's not been opened so probably would be fine tomorrow but I'm a bit funny about use by dates with meat

If you are not eating tomorrow I would freeze it.
