agree with Coddy, the Times recipes are really good at the mo.
Have just bought River Cafe Cookbook 2 (£8 from The Bookpeople) I fancy poached turbot with salsa verde (flat parsley, mint, capers, anchovies, mustard, red wine vinegar, garlic and olive oil)

JoolsToo · 20/04/2006 21:20

turbot? Shock exotic-er and exotic-er Grin

Gingerbear · 20/04/2006 21:21

nah, only a flat fish - expensive one mind, but I bet plaice or halibut would be good too.

cod · 20/04/2006 21:27

LOVE capers

OP posts:
JoolsToo · 20/04/2006 22:09

JoolsToo · 20/04/2006 22:16

GDG · 21/04/2006 11:35

'aren't they farting little things' - what you want a GREAT, BIIIIIIG FISH?!

Gingerbear · 21/04/2006 18:48

turbots are huge - size of a dinner plate.
Or did you mean capers are farty little things?

JoolsToo · 21/04/2006 18:49

yes - the capers or am I thinking of whiting?

I'm no fish officianado! Grin

Gingerbear · 21/04/2006 18:52

WHITEBAIT - teeny sardines that are battered, deep fried and served with lemon juice.

JoolsToo · 21/04/2006 18:53

there you are you see! Grin

plummymummy · 27/04/2006 11:58
