If you have, please could you tell me her if her recipe for white onion veloute is in it? I have googled it but can't find it and don't want to buy the book only to find it's not in it!! (My local Waterstones don't have it so Amazon is the only answer)

Haven't got it sorry but if you are loathe to buy it why not see if your library has it?

R2E2 · 16/01/2013 21:51

Yes, I have a copy here, and yes there's a recipe for white onion veloute on p21.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 16/01/2013 21:56

Is the book worth getting R3?

R2E2 · 17/01/2013 10:12

It's a lovely book to read with nice pictures, but when I look at my cookbooks it's not one of the ones which is splattered with food if you see what I mean.

Having said that, I always use the risotto recipe which is brilliant, and I remember that the mushroom ragu was delicious.

Know exactly what you mean Smile. Had a look online last night and our local library has a copy. Will try to get hold of it soon.

The rather lovely R2E2 has typed out the incredibly long recipe and sent it to me. So very kind and very much appreciated. I will let you know how I get on - yay Mumsnet!!!
