I have just gotten hold of a whole (skinned) rabbit for £4. What the hell do I do with it?

(NB I have a slow cooker if that helps?)

Roast it like a chicken. Or joint it up and use a chicken recipe, they are interchangeable.

Yum!

Be careful if roasting, it can be a bit dry. I had a bit of a rabbit problem at one point and I can recommend:

Rabbit casserole with white wine
Rabbit risotto
Rabbit paella (variations on a theme here!)
Rabbit and mushroom pie
Rabbit and leek pie

ooh, do you have a recipe for rabbit paella

Grin Ooh a Portuguese Rabbit Stew would be lovely. Here's a link to a good recipe allrecipes.co.uk/m/recipe/2092/portuguese-rabbit-casserole.aspx

DH made it, I think it was probably this recipe or something very similar but he used all rabbit rather than a mix of meats and also definitely included some green peppers and water + bouillon powder rather than stock (he tends to use recipes as inspiration rather than instruction!).

@takver that sounds great. Can't wait to make it!

Ragu with fennel is really nice. You'd need to joint it first.
