i am trying to make bread with bread maker.
i am adding some wholemeal flour to make it more healthy but i get a weird bitter taste while the bread looks nice.
how can i get rid of this bitter taste, what should i do?
thanks in advance :)

All I can think is that maybe your wholemeal flour is a bit old. When it's been open for a while the oil in the wheatgerm bit of the flour can go a bit rancid.

Try getting a new (small) bag of wholemeal flour.

the flour was in its pack for 1-2 months. when i buy it i dont put it in a cup or anything, just keep in the pack.
i get that bitter taste in shop bought wholemeal breads, too. is it avoidable? i thought i could avoid it if i baked it at home.
anyway thanks magimedi88 :)
