Freezing dried beans

I was thinking of preparing and then freezing dried beans/pulses. Does anyone do this? Also how long do you keep them and do I need to defrost them before using them?

I do that. Boil them up as usual, then freeze in a thin layer in a freezer bag so you can shake loose when frozen. I just put them in whatever I'm cooking for last 5 min, like you would with frozen peas or whatever.
