Wilton 3D Cakes

In hoping to make a mini 3D Wilton bear cake soon. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of these? Hoping some kind mumsnetter comes along to say that its not that hard to do!

I made the 3d bear cake for DDs birthday! Couldn't find any info on how to do it so blogged what I did if that helps:

It did look fab with quite limited skills from me, and stayed together fairly well when I took him out the tin, but I did use cake release!

with the 3D tins, cake release is brilliant. Also use a cake batter that is a little firmer than a classic victoria sponge, so it will hold its shape. I use a Nigella recipe from her Domestic Goddess book. Can post the recipe if you don't have it.
