Eating out in London - recommendation for an evening meal!

We don't get to visit London very often but DH and I have an day planned in Feb. We would like to book a table somewhere but the question is where?

Last time we ate in London we ate at Maze which was ok but we want to try something new. We've also eaten at Fifteen and the Criterion, both very nice.

I don't mind want type of food, just good food, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere and fairly central as we have to catch the train out of Paddington later in the evening.

I really wanted to try Bill Granger's Granger and co in Notting Hill but you can't book and I don't fancy queuing outside in Feb!

the ledbury is lovely, and v handy for Paddington

I also love the Bleeding Heart, by Hatton Garden, but it shuts on Sat and Sun

Oh, if it's a Friday then definitely look at the Bleeding Heart. It's not michelin-starred, but has a fab wine list, and the atmosphere is brilliant in each of the rooms. The Tavern there is a complete steal for the quality of the food.

Dock kitchen is fab and also good for paddington. Bit less formal and £££ than the Ledbury. Ledbury is lovely though!
