Incredibly exciting Pie n mash question

Bought posh organic pie from posh local deli - sort of looks like the pastry is already cooked - its steak. How long does it need in oven??

Also have just discovered only a handful of pots with sprouty bits festering under the sink. There are 5 of us (but 3 are quite small) What else can I give with said pie???

ahhhhhhh my life is just Sooo f exciting.

I guess 20-30min in oven till middle is hot - cover with foil if browning too fast.

Don't need carb with pie - that's what the pastry's for! The Badger houshold (for reasons unknown) favours frozen peas and/or sweetcorn with pie.

Yeah, think it might be the professional northerner in me thats eager for the mash. I can do peas and sweetcorn ...........cheers.

Yeah, you need mash with lots of gravy and onions, and mushy peas! (organic if you must!)

Sprout bits removed, spuds on. Had to have mash.

Ah 5 o clock. Officially okay to have wine in our hoose.

Niceglasses - love your attitude! I think I may have to adopt the 5 o'clock rule in our house! Also, totally agree with you about the mash, but also with Mes B about peas and sweetcorn... oh go on, have the lot!!
