Can I use fine polenta instead?

We haven't any bread to make fresh either.

I use polenta and parmesan for snitzels.. So probably ;)

Moominsarehippos · 05/01/2013 17:58

Blitz cornflakes or ritz crackers in the food processor?

ColdWinterMorning · 05/01/2013 17:58

What about crushed cornflakes? We use those to make chicken nuggets.

Poledra · 05/01/2013 17:59

Is it to coat the outside? How about some crushed up cornflakes? plain ones, mind I don't think the honey-nut type would do the trick...

Moominsarehippos · 05/01/2013 18:01

Nope, none of them either. We have porridge...

Any kind of crackers? Anything bread-y at all?

Moominsarehippos · 05/01/2013 18:11

Pita bread, muffins, errr oatcakes? Lentils, rice, soyaaaaa? Bugger.

Crisps? Hmmmmmmm. I think we may be in 'mad inventor' territory here.

Pita bread or muffins (assume English muffins) would make breadcrumbs. And actually crisps would probably work too...

LadyPeterWimsey · 05/01/2013 18:20

But I'm sure polenta would be fine, in any case.

pinkyp · 05/01/2013 18:21

Crisps sound nice, pitta bread crumbled up would work too

seeker · 05/01/2013 18:22

I've made them without coating them at all #trailblazer.

Any sort to savoury biscuit? Just egg and flour?

BikeRunSki · 05/01/2013 18:23

I always use polenta.

FoofFighter · 05/01/2013 18:24

I use smash mash stuff mixed with some seasoning.
