Can you bake a pie without baking beans?

I realised that I can't find mine. I haven't seen them since before we moved home.
Can I use something else?

You can use any dry things that has a bit of weight, just use baking parchment between pastry and the item chosen. In need I would use rice.

Yes you can easily do without ! I hardly ever use mine to be honest !

Just make sure you prick well and it'll be fine.
