Help - need a pudding for 10/12 tomorrow lunch!

I'm not good at puddings, but I've been asked to bring one for a last-,minute get together tomorrow. There will be 6 adults and 6 kids (aged 0-4). I have time to get to my local shop and make something simple, but I don't have time to get to a supermarket and buy something (my preferred option usually!). Does anyone have any ideas, please?

Eton mess? buy meringue nests, double cream, strawberries - or could use frozen berries eg rasps or summer fruits (defrost)

break up meringues, whip cream, slice or defrost fruit

gently mix together - do this at the event, asthe meringues can 'melt' if in contact with fruit juice for too long

cake, ice cream and fresh fruit salad.

make the cake if you can.

Thank you! I went for Eton mess and it was a total hit - mainly because it looked like I made something, but it was so little effort (and no time beforehand as I made it there).
