Can you help me decide what to make/bake for Christmas please?

My sister has bought a choc gateau and a salted caramel roulade.

So I don't want anything too similar to this. I would usually make something chocolatey, so am not sure what else to make!

Perhaps something that is in small cake cases, rather than a large cake/pudding? Sore of wee bites of something rather than a large thing? Might be good for in the evening later on?

Something with some fruit? Trouble is things like that aren't really my thing so I don't often make them. Am up for making most things, don't mind having a go! So any ideas welcome!

Make a huge choc and walnut brownie and cut it into bite size squares. Obviously tasting a few squares to make sure they are fit for purpose as well.

What time do you want me to arrive in order to take the salted caramel roulade off your hands?

Wee bites - Millionaire's shortbread / Little discs of choc with fruit and nuts on, like Florentines without the faff / Marmalade tarts?

Or you could do Eton Mess or something of that ilk? Trifle?

Santa hat brownies look awesome!

no idea, but can you get the recipe for the salted caramel roulade please?

although some sort of little lemony muffin might work?
or a key lime traybake?

Salted caramel thing is sadly from a shop, sorry! Can ask her where if you wanted it?

I like the lemony muffin idea.

Something with meranges (spelling?!) I was thinking too.

Usually I make things like malteaser cake, shortbread etc.

Fresh fruit salad
Pineapple upside down cake with double cream
Mandarin oranges in jelly
Lemon tart by RaymondB recipe here
Orange tart by Moro recipe here you don't have to use Seville oranges but it helps.

Lemon meringue pie
Eton mess
