the foulest thing I have ever cooked...

I was dreaming of a steak and onion pie the other day. So I casseroled my steak and onions and put it in a pie. I have got no idea what happened. It had a really funny aftertaste. All I can think of is that somehow I burnt the sauce. To me it is the worst I have ever cooked and I can feel it repeating on me now and giving me indigestion. DH loved it (how weird).

What is the worst thing you have ever cooked?

Delia Smith's chicken kebabs, followed the recipe to the letter, and ended up with gritty, salty, yoghurty, bitter chicken, and undercooked courgettes, it was VILE.

DH once had a raw bacon sandwich (he's forrin and didn't know bacon needed cooking), but he didn't cook that really.

Ham hock and apple rilette. I made it twice: inedible both times, even after I 'corrected' the recipe. Bleurgh.

The first time I tried to make lasagne using sauces from jars. I ended up with tasteless goop on raw pasta sheets. Yum.

Any news OP?

No, I'm not - it must have actually just been the pie!

Ah good! Just don't make the pie again and you will be fine Xmas Grin
