Stilton soaked in Port. Anyone done it?

I have a small whole Stilton earmarked for after Christmas dinner. I am toying with the idea of doing this with it. Basically you pierce it all over and pour Port in so it soaks into all the little veins. Would this be a good idea, do you think, or a criminal waste of both Stilton and booze?

Personally, I think it would certainly be a teriffic waste of Stilton, and also a waste of good port. It might, however, be a marked improvement for a bad port!
