My daughter has declared that over Christmas she'd like to have a go at making Sushi. Only available Nori locally is Yutaka from Tesco or Clearspring from Sainsburys. Which has the mildest flavour for first time sushi eater? Or would you recommend another brand and I will trek round looking for it?

I would have thought both would taste pretty similar. I find the clearspring stuff less authentic so there's a chance it might be better for you.
We make sushi a lot. At first dc didn't like the taste but they love it now. Have fun!

There's all pretty much the same stuff. It's the filling and especially the care with which you prepare the rice that gives it the flavour. Worth tracking down some dashi and mirin for your rice....

I got dashi and mirin on Amazon, the japan centre delivers too.

I think Kaitatuya is good and like Yutaka also but it is more expensive. Both are a good thickness, there is one which is thicker and therefore chewier called Nagai, it really put my DC off sushi for a while.
Yutaka can be bought in Asda a little cheaper and online for half the price in Tesco (lots of places like Sushi sushi)!
