How long to defrost a turkey?

I know, a fresh turkey would be the best option but I can't face the idea of going out to buy it. So, how, and for how long, do I safely defrost a small whole turkey please?

Try this Turkey Defrosting Time Online Calculator. (Is there nothing that isn't on the internet?! :) ) A 4 - 5kg bird will take anything from 12 - 21 hours. Recommend placing it somewhere cool for a long time rather than somewhere warm for a short time.
