Jus-roll, doesn't seem to "puff" that well?

Jus-roll puff pastry doesn't taste as "puffy" or as flaky as it did when I was growing up! Not sure how they have changed the recipe but it's simply not that tasty! Any one know if there are other brands available? I can't say I have ever noticed any in Waitrose...

I bought some a couple of weeks ago. I looked on the ingredient list, and they use margarine.

Good point! I think they do an all butter version, Maybe I should give that a go!

It's frozen in Waitrose, rather than with the dairy stuff. I'd been looking for it for ages then found it one day next to the frozen deserts. Crazy.

Jus-roll puff pastry is now vegan as they don't use any animal products in it (so not butter) but they also sell an all butter puff if you prefer the taste of butter. As a vegan I love that I can use Jus-roll :)

Multi I'm glad it's handy for you! Smile
Baz thanks for the tip on where to find the Waitrose Puff Pastry...have you tried it?

I buy the one from lidl and it seems to be better-and cheaper at 66p. It is not in sheets, just a ball and you have to roll it.
