Mulled wine recipe (without buying specific mixes)

I have lots of spices, fruit etc in the house, been ill so don't want to venue out to buy cordials to add to wine but would like a nice mulled wine recipe using whatever is in the cupboards.

Can I have your recipes please?

A few tablespoons sugar
Stick some cloves in a few whole oranges
Slice some other oranges and lemons
Throw in a few cinnamon sticks
Bring to simmer slowly

As above, then add a nice glug of brandy or Cointreau.
Then add another glug.

I'm loving the addition of glugs :)
