Butter flavouring

I am going to make Butterbeer cupcakes, but the recipe calls for butter flavouring. It's too late to order it from Amazon - does anybody have any ideas of what I can use as a substitute? Other ingredients (apart from the obvious) are dark brown sugar, vanilla extract, buttermilk and cream soda.

I would just leave it out - it's an artificial flavouring and the other ingredients sound lovely and flavoursome enough as they are!
