I would love to start cooking properly and work my way up but need to start off with the simpler stuff at the begining.

Any starters, mains, desserts or picky food recipes you can give would be great!

I mean simple as in either not too many ingredients needed and/or doesn't take hours to make.

Thanks :-)

Well, I am a pudding fan. And self-saucing puddings are some of the nicest and easiest. here is a lovely choc one.

Fish with rice and OJ

A handfull of rice per person.
Smoked fish - haddock is best IMHO
carton of orange juice
water

Boil the kettle
put the rice in a pan
add orange juice to cover the rice
add boiling water - about twice the amount to the OJ
chop the fish and put in the pan

bring to the boil and simmer for 15 mins.

You can try different rices different amounts of water and fruit juice, adding herbs and or spices.
