smoked mackerel and pasta????

Anyone got any ideas?

goes well with beetroot, rocket and cheese eg mozerella. toasted pine nuts too. Horseradish goes well with mackeral - but it might be a bit much with everything else!

I have some rocket, no beetroot or pine nuts. My cupboards are a bit empty Only cheese in is chedder or some very ripe pont l'eveque. Not even got any fresh tomatoes, only tinned. Have got some chillies and sour cream? COuld that make anything?

Perhaps pasta with sour cream and rocket stirred through and then mackerel mixed in would be good. Add black pepper (and perhaps a squeeze of lemon juice) to taste.

I'm not 100% on whether this would work, as I would be more likely to use creme fraiche for this, but the sour cream may work to coat the pasta a little. I wouldn't use loads though.
