pasta,
frozen swede and carrot mash
rice?
I only had one potato and about 3 carrots, so it is currently meat and onion.

I imagine swede and carrot mash would just thicken more than anything else, do you have porridge oats or red lentils? Those are my basic bulkers. If not go with the rice.

I have red lentils, or quinea (whichh I have had years and never worked out what it is actually for)

use the red lentils! They will go a little mushy, but will be better than quinoa (I use it occasionally in salad).

Dumplings?

Drladybird · 12/12/2012 13:29

Yes red lentils. Or any other pulses- a tin of chickpeas would be great!

mamij · 12/12/2012 13:32

Lentils! Quinoa will make it too mushy. If you have a tin of tomatoes, you may get away with using pasta as minestrone.

Defintly red lentils then they practically disapeer and have no taste really just a bland bulker I have a good couple of handfuls in them in my lasagna which is currently bubbling away in the bol stage Smile
