Best scone recipe

Mine always turn out like rock buns, too small and too hard. Please share your best scone recipe.

I don't have a best recipe as such, but my tips would be to use butter milk rather than ordinary milk, to put in loads of baking powder, and to roll the dough out to no less than two centimetres thick. It works for me ...

I did the Paul Hollywood recipe today that uses 5tsp baking powder and string bread flour. I was dubious but they were great
