easy things to cook with toddler?

Dd is two.4 years and i do muffins and cakes with her just wondering what else to do. Have tried biscuits a couple of times but they always go wrong. What do/ did you cook with your dc's?

Yeast bread/pizza the more they muck around with it he better. Have a google for some kiddy friendly biscuit recipes - like gingerbread doesn't mind being ovhandled.

DD demanded to make pancakes recently. She had more of a supervisory role due to the hot frying pan, but enjoyed eating them with nutella.

Flapjack! We mash bananas into it, add sultanas, dried apricots etc. it's surprisingly tolerant of "more oats" etc although it's often more of an oaty fruit slice here when it's finished. Still yummy though. Now ds is 3 we've done mini burgers etc as I can tell him when it's ok to try things out of the bowl. I've also struggled with biscuits until recently as they are less forgiving of pummelling (and all our stuff is gf for me so some ingredients behave differently anyway). Pizza, we started with him just doing toppings now he makes dough with DH and does the whole thing.

And I second pancakes, he does the mixing, I do the cooking, we share the eating

we have made pancakes a bit but not for a while so might do them again soon. yes nutella is a good thing to put in them. We normally have fruit (e.g. strawberries and blueberries) and golden syrup. Tried flapjacks aswell the first time they went very wrong. Left them in too long, but the second time they were not too bad.

Fruit is a great idea with pancakes - which didn't occur to me at all .

My 20month old and I made these banana banana biscuits recently.
Anything with banana mashing is a winner in our household!

We did pork escalopes and DD had lots of fun bashing the pork with a rolling pin and "painting" butter onto the coated escalopes.

I remember making "scrangled" eggs and toast with my cousin when he was about 3. He loved whisking the eggs.

Its not that exciting, but if you were just making it for lunch anyway!

Similar to above: omlette. We make ours with spinach, tomatoes and cheese. DSs help chop spinach and tomatoes (Mum's hand firmly on the knife too) and grate the cheese solo. Pizza is also popular.
