Errrrrrr nope, sorry, it smells. Is it for a dinner party or something, why the emergency i can go and look for a recipe if you've got time

It will be flakey, and you will be able to pull it apart with a fork.

thank you all - you're better than Nigella anyday!

You can dot it with butter and grill it for a couple of minutes on each side. Cooks really quickly, and like lydialemon says it'll pull apart easily.
Mmmmn, love smoked haddock - yellowfish we call it.

suzywong · 08/01/2004 17:56

10 mins max
keep the lid ajar and watch it as if the milk boils over it will be unspeakabley messy.

When cooked the flesh will turn opaque and begin to flake away from bones.

Take out of pan, put on plate next to open kitchen window, then flake it as it will be too boney to serve as af fillet

Howeve you serve is use lots of butter

Spooky as I just cooked some for my lunch

Enjoy with mashed potato and cheese sauce and a bit of parsley to garnish

Lisa78 · 08/01/2004 18:01

PARSLEY? Suzy, what have I EVER said to give you the impression I would have any parsley in the house!!!!!!!!!!! But am doing the mashed potato and (instant) cheese sauce as I type

Thanks all, no one poisoned (so far) but think DH and DS1 were checking the bin for the package, labelled "frozen precooked smoked haddock"!!

What i wan to know now is -
how do you get rid of the smell?
we had some last night and the house stinks of it, still. tried cooking a lemon in the microwave but it was a waste of time.

Lisa78 · 08/01/2004 21:59

God knows, but the cat is certainly interested in the kitchen tonight!
