GLUTEN FREE SCONES

Hi Can anyone help?

I make gorgeous cakes with Dove's farm flour- use gluten free baking powder to make it rise, but scones are always like lead.

Does anyone have any tips about the amount of raising agent to use or do scones always turn out a bit heavy with gluten free flour? Would adding an egg help perhaps?

I've used this recipe with Doves Farm gr flour, the scones always turn out great and get lots of compliments: allrecipes.co.uk/m/recipe/542/traditional-buttermilk-scones.aspx

There was a recipe in this month's GoodFood mag for a Gluten Free Blackberry and Pear Scone Round. I made it using blueberries and it was AMAZING. Not sure if their recipes are available online.
