Successful macaron flavour combinations?

Yesterday I made vanilla macarons with a spicy mocha ganache filling..... these

The idea was great, but I found somehow, all the flavours seemed to cancel each other out. The chocolate overpwered the delicate macaron, yet the vanilla macaron masked the chocolateyness

Desperately want to make more, that taste good!

What do you recommend?

I had an amazing chocolate and passionfruit flavoured one at Pierre herme once

Green food colouring in the macaroon, dark chocolate with a hint of mint in the filling. Mmmmmmmmmm.
