Hi I'm new to mums net so not really sure how this works......

I struggle with breakfast time and getting the children out to school on time. I have a 4 & 6 year old who take forever eating. In the end i end up feeding them after i have got ready. Which then makes us late?

Any one any tips on morning order, breakfast, dressed, brush teeth and how much time to allow?

Thanks

Hi, welcome to MN.

Mine are 14, 7 and 4 and I know what you mean!

7 and 4 year old get up around 7am. The rule is, breakfast, get dressed including shoes, teeth brushed and bags ready before the TV is allowed. If there is time, they can watch CBeebies or whatever. They leave at 8.30am.

We put the uniforms out the night before and make packed lunches the night before or in the morning if I'm not working.

Do you feed them at any other meals? Could you look at breakfast - as in do they like it, would toast be easier, that sort of thing?

TV is the best motivator I find and having an hour and a half really helps
