Slow cooker cracked.

I bought a crockpot from Curry's last year, and use it about twice a month.

When I washed it yesterday, I see it has a massive crack along the bottom. I have searched for my receipt but I must have chucked it away.

I am so fed-uo because I have treated that crock-pot with kid gloves, so why on earth has it cracked? Any ideas?

I loved slow cooking, but now I'm dubious about buying a new one.

Get a cheap one then it doesn't matter if it doesn't last. Mine was about £10 and is starting to look worse for wear after a years constant use

i cracked a normal casserole dish - think it was because i put cold water into it to soak it whilst it was hot.

agree with noisy - just buy a cheap one. mine was about £20 about 25 years ago.

Found receipt stapled inside the little recipe book that came with the cooker. How efficient is THAT? Shame it took me all morning to remember that that is where I'd put it.Smile

Anyway, Curry's were brilliant and have replaced the crock-pot with another, cheaper one and given me the difference on a gift card.
