Fruity Side Dish

Hi there,
Does anyone know any fruity side dishes that are suitable for use with pate? I'm on starter duty this christmas!!

By fruity is it because of the sweet taste or does it have to be fruit particularly?

I do a sweet/sour red onions which would be nice with pate.
1 red onion per person cooked slowly in 1 tsp of oil per onion until softened and beginning to brown. Chuck in a tsp of dried thyme (or a couple of sprigs of fresh). Then I add a generous tablespoon of honey and 2 of balsamic vinegar. You have to taste at this point and adjust the honey/vinegar till you get the balance right.

I'd preferably prefer something apple based as it's pork pate....maybe something premade as I'm a bit too lazy
