Shopping on line - advice please

We usually shop on line with Tesco, but I thought we'd have a change. I was going to give Ocado a go partly because I thought that delivery was free. I have just signed up and it seems quite expensive (£6.99 vs £4ish for Tesco). Have I missed something?

Do people think Ocado is worth it?

Thanks in advance.

If you wait for long enough Ocado will give you vouchers off your shopping.

Delivery cost depends when you get it delivered. Late at night is cheapest time.

You can sign up to a Delivery Pass which is cheaper.

Is it worth it - depends how much you like Waitrose products? It will probably cost more than Tesco, but IMO the quality and range is better.

I also get very good service from Ocado delivery people.

Ocado sometimes gives you 15% or 20% off vouchers. Delivery people are always very friendly and products are good. You can get some good deals e.g. Buy one get one free, buy one get one half price etc if you look hard enough. Also, if you have a smartphone, their app is great and easy to use. Downside is there is no loyalty system!

Ocado are good, and I get my slot for free (mind you, it is a lunchtime one on a Wednesday so not suitable for everybody). The more convenient/popular slots are quite expensive. If you are in a Waitrose delivery area you could give them a go - it's free over £50.

The Ocado service and quality of goods is higher than Tesco's IMO.

sainsburys do free delivery here for mid-week slots. quality is not quite so good as ocado, but website much better than waitrose's
