I've made dp and the children a chocolate fudge loaf, i've dusted it with icing sugar. Dp has just asked when i'm going to decorate it, well, i wasn't.

I'm happy to decorate it, i just didn't feel it needed it. So what would you do to a loaf?

My recent discovery has been the wondrousness of chocolate spread used as icing. Easy peasy!

Thank you. I would never have thought of that!

If the cake is crumbly doing a thin layer first and then a proper layer after helps but it's a very yummy option!

Thank you! I did it, in a thin layer. I then drew light criss-crosses on it and plopped a silver ball in every join.

It looked ok, and tasted great.

I was going to say, with smarties stuck on with melted chocolate. I'm obviously not very sophisticated.

I only did silver balls because i had no smarties or mini smarties. Dp and the dc would have much preferred that Smile
