I have never had this problem before, but recently anything I cook with a tomato sauce has a bitter/acidic aftertaste to me. I think there are two possibilities:
- I am pregnant and my taste is off
- I have changed supermarkets and am using a different own brand of chopped tomatoes.
I just added a teaspoon of sugar to my sauce, have no idea if this was the right thing to do!?
How do you cook a non- bitter tasting tomato sauce? Do the brand of tinned tomatoes used make a difference in your opinion? Thanks!
